  During my swim with my son, I felt that I was continuously being watched. At first I thought maybe I was being paranoid, but everytime I looked up I had Staff member "B" looking at me and the lifeguard on duty. Around 11:15 am I was confronted by staff member "B" about my lack of parental supervision of my son. My son was in the end lane with me, playing with his toys and swimming. I pretty much told her that I am more than capable of looking after my child and that I take full responsibility for my son. I then said that they can use the cameras as evidence of my neglect, if anything occurred. I never raised my voice or used rude words. Her top lip was shaking and she looked really worked up. Soon after I grabbed my son and left the 25 meter pool and went to the kiddies pool and spa. When I was playing in the kiddies pool with my son, I noticed 7 other patrons using the spa. All the spa users had bright orange wrist bands on and I was the only one with a RED band!!!!! It was then that I realized I had a target on my back. I now believe I had been singled out by staff member "A", to be on a high watch alert by all staff member's.

  Staff member "A" who served me wasn't overly friendly, she seemed rather grumpy. When I handed her my swim cards she quickly informed me that my son can't swim for free and that my swim cards won't work here. I told her that it is not a swim school card, but a child's hopper pass and I want to pay for him. As for my card, I told her something along the lines that it's a complete aqua membership card. (Both my cards were activated at Bomaderry and had their name on the front of the swim cards). Before she even scanned my cards, she judged me. She didn't even apologize, when she finally scanned my cards and could see I was a paying customer. I told her that I would like to try the "Fit Swim" program. She snapped at me and said who's going to watch your child? I must admit that I wasn't even thinking about my son. Now, in hindsight she was right, but she had already been so rude to me, that I got a little smart mouthed back to her. I then told her I want a spa pass. She snapped again and told me to make sure I watch my child. By this time I was a little perplexed by her attitude. Please note that the spa is located in an open caged area attached to the kiddies pool. You can visibly see the whole pool and can even touch you children through the bars. I told her that my child is a very confident swimmer and has been at shoalhaven swimming schools, since he was 6 months old. My son is 4 1/2 ish and swims 3-5 times a week. I shrugged my shoulders and she attached a RED band around my wrist for the spa.

  Great facilities that are family friendly and good for keeping the kids occupied!

  Facilities need work, heated pool little too cold, sprayers, fountains often not working , spa empty, Air jets often off , entry cost feels high when things are not working, hot Food is great , good value, Family entry fee should include slide , spa.
